- Understand what systems and integrations are currently in place. This will help identify what areas will be impacted by the deprecation.
- Get business stakeholders involved early. The transition provides an opportunity to engage with the business and revise the UI to reflect updated ways of working. Change management will also be easier if business champions are involved throughout the transition.
- Avoid trying to solve all the business pain points in this transition. This will blow out timelines and overwhelm users with too much change. Rather prioritise issues that are easy to fix and leave more complex one’s post transition.
